We use about 20 diapers and wipes per day for both babies. Price comparison on the various brands is difficuly because each package comes in different quantities. So in order to find the most economical products, I created a diapers and wipes chart. The chart lsits many different products sorted by cost per diaper or wipe.
Being cautious, we started with Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive diapers, which are supposed to be easier on babies with allergies or especially sensitive skin. It is a very nice product, but expensive (twice the cost of the Luvs). We tried a few different brands and didn’t encounter any sensitivity issues.
Going from newborn to size 1 was a boon, since the newborn size often is not stocked in stores and can usually only be found in small packages.
Amazon.com has many customer reviews on each product — results seem to vary person to person for various reasons. We are doing just fine with the Luvs.
